David L. Schrag, 68, passed away June 29, 2022, at his home with his family by his side. He was born May 28, 1954, to Richard J. and Arlene M. (Graber) Schrag in Hutchinson. He graduated from Central Christian High School, Hutchinson, and Hutchinson Community College.
He had worked for the Reno County Fire Department, Hutchinson Hospital, and Reno County EMS.
Dave was a member of Union Valley Bible Church, Hutchinson.
On June 2, 1973, he married Joan Hoffman in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include his two children and their spouses; Linda and Jeremy Morgan, Blue Ridge, TX and Kevin and Andrea Schrag, Mount Hope, KS; a brother, Rick (Penny) Schrag, Naples, FL; a sister, Kathy (Loren) Kroeker, Inman; 12 grandchildren, David and Cameron Morgan, Kristen and Jack Lucas, Sarah and Nathan Allen, Courtney, Elizabeth, and Abigail Morgan, and Meghan, Jacob, and Joshua Schrag; and 2 great grandchildren, Margaret Lucas and Casper Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Becky Schrag.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Inman Funeral Home, with the family present. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the 1st Mennonite Church Cemetery, Pretty Prairie, and will be live streamed on the Inman Funeral Home Facebook page. Memorial services will follow at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Union Valley Bible Church, Hutchinson, with services being live streamed on the church’s website and the funeral home’s Facebook page. Friends and family are invited to join the family after the service for a snacks and dessert potluck in fellowship hall at the church.
