Harry James Neufeldt

Harry James Neufeldt passed away April 3, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, with his family by his side, just a few days from his 93rd birthday. He was born April 22, 1931, in Moundridge, KS, the son of David and Katherine Dyck Neufeldt. He graduated from Inman High School. An avid farmer all his life, he was an active supporter of the MCC Sale, Kansas Crop Improvement Association, and a Lifelong Certified Seed Grower. He won the Kansas Bankers Association Windbreak Award in 2019 for his amazing row of special cedar trees he and his boys planted. He attended Hopefield Church, Moundridge.  
 
 Harry was united in marriage to Geraldine “Gerry” Unruh on September 27, 1957, at the First Mennonite Church of Newton.   She passed away on September 4, 2000.

Survivors include his two sons; Kelvin and wife Emily, Inman and Donovan and wife Joani, Moundridge; grandchildren, Nicole Hiebert and husband Austin, Newton, Stacey Neufeldt, Hutchinson, Steven Neufeldt, Iowa, and Scott Neufeldt and wife Chelsi, Inman; a sister-in-law, Viola Neufeldt, Hutchinson; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 2 brothers, LaVern and Eldon Neufeldt; and a sister Fern Klaassen.
