Josephine "Jo" Elda Willems

Josephine “Jo” Elda Willems, 90, passed away June 3, 2020 at Pleasant View Home, Inman.  She was born October 31, 1929 in Inman, the daughter of Pete and Agatha Esau Goertzen. She was a graduate of Inman High School. 

Jo had been employed by First National Bank of Hutchinson for 40 years, retiring in 1997 and was a member of Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church, Inman.  She married Victor T. Willems on April 28, 1951.  He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Timothy (Deborah) Willems, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Brittany (Tyler) Lawrence, Shelby (Dylan) Trammell, and Trevor Willems, all of Hutchinson, Brianna (Tyler) Augustine, Gypsum; and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abby Michelle Willems; and three sisters, Mary Weins, Alyce Lutes, and Pauline Friesen Raines.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2020 at Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church, with Pastor Dwight Carter presiding.  Burial will follow at Zoar Church Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Inman Funeral Home; PO Box 490, Inman, Kansas 67546.  To leave a condolence for the family, visit: www.inmanfh.com.
