Mary Jo Russell

Mary Jo Russell, 63, passed away December 30, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born September 21, 1958, in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of James and Bessie Morawitz Parks. She was a graduate of Nickerson High School and had attended Wichita State University. She was a clerk for the United States Postal Service for 29 years. She was a member of the Father’s House Church, Hutchinon, and was on the Board of Directors for the Hutchinson Postal and Community Credit Union.

On February 29, 1984, she married Steven Russell in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include 2 nephews, James Parks, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Leam Russell, Newton; niece, Braelyn Russell, Newton; 4 great nephews; and 1 great great nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Phillip Parks; and a sister, Sandra Reese.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will take place at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at The Father’s House, Hutchinson. The service will be live streamed on Inman Funeral Home’s Facebook Page. In lieu of memorials, Steve is asking that everyone bring a snack food item, or a monetary donation made out to Steve Russell for the purpose of purchasing snacks.
