Michael Martin McMahon

Michael Martin McMahon, 77, passed away September 26, 2021, at his home in Inman. He was born June 28, 1944, in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of William Martin and Christine Marie Scanlon McMahon. He was a graduate of Bishop Duffy High School, Niagara Fall, NY and graduated from Syracuse University with his master’s degree in Biochemistry.

Michael was a microbiologist and in medical sales in New York. For 25 years he was a missionary in China as an English teacher, moving to Inman one year ago. He was a member of Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church.
He married Janet Lynn Corti on June 5, 1982 in Geneva, New York. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his children: Timothy McMahon, Kansas City, MO, BrianJames (Michelle) McMahon, Lee Summit, MO, Kevin (Kathleen) McMahon, West Chester, Ohio, Alison (Cheyenne) Kroeker, Inman, Katie (Jason) Martin, Waterloo, NY, and Amy McMahon, England; a brother, Shaun McMahon, Westwood, KS; a sister, Maura Bodo, Mundelein, Illinois; and grandchildren, Free, Miriam, Abby, and Shaun McMahon, Karis, Ruth, and Elizabeth Kroeker, and Maria, Anneka, Julia, and Justus Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church, Inman. Burial will follow at the Zoar Cemetery. Services will be live streamed on the Inman Funeral Home Facebook page. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Friday, October 1, 2021, at the church.
