Olivia Trevino Martinez

Olivia Trevino Martinez, 66, passed away at her home Sunday, May 17, 2020.  She was born July 18, 1953, in Delano, California, the daughter of Jacob and Lucy Trevino Martinez.  She graduated from Friends University, Wichita, with her degree in criminal justice.

Olivia most recently worked for Horizons Mental Health Center as a case manager.  She had previously worked at New Beginnings and at the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Center as a victim advocate.  A dedicated democrat, she was very involved in various community committees as a social justice proponent.  

Olivia was extremely proud of her ethnic heritage and passed that on to her family.  She was a friend to everyone and adored her grandkids, her dog Gia and her grand-dogs.

She is survived by her children; Jennifer Barnes (Galen Burton), Hutchinson, Amy Morgan (Marc), Hutchinson, Audrey Tolle (Nathanael), Lincoln, CA, and Keith Barnes, Jr (Daniel Wicks), Hutchinson; a granddaughter she raised as a daughter, Amber Barnes (Cody Palmer) Wichita; grandchildren, Olivia, Trevor, Corban, Caleb, Canaan, Charis, Callista, and Creston; and a great granddaughter, Jazlyn.
