Rosemary L. Yates, 76, passed away February 14, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born June 14, 1947, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Richard and Roberta Stout Drake, Sr. She married Larry Yates on April 3, 1966, in Alden, KS. She worked side by side with him, farming, and ranching at their farm in Reno County, doing the bookkeeping and driving the cattle.
She was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church, had been a 4H Leader, judged and showed horses and was a master gardener.
Survivors include her husband Larry, of the home in Sterling; siblings, Radonna (Rick Figger) Drake, Phoenix, AZ, Richelle (Robert) Miller, Philadelphia, Robin (Tyler) McVay, Sterling, KS, Richard (Kathleen Schroeder) Drake, Jr., Canton, KS, Rodney Drake, Springfield, MO, Ramona Drake, Enid, OK, and Robert Michael Drake, Phoenix, AZ; 2 sister in laws, Glenna Taylor, Great Bend, KS and Pattie (Gerald) Belden, Buhler, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Wed., February 21, 2024, from 5-7pm at Inman Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Peace Valley Cemetery, Reno County. Celebration of life services will be held following the graveside at 11:00 AM at Bethel Mennonite Church, Inman. Services will be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page, which can be reached at www.inmanfh.com.
