Ruth Marie Neufeldt

Ruth M. Neufeldt, 84, passed away February 19, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  She was born May 14, 1939, to Vernon and Marie Hendrixson.  She was then adopted by Henry and Marie Esau Willems in December, 1940.   She had attended Central Christian High School.  She married Lewis Neufeldt on May 16, 1956.  They settled in a home in McPherson County.  She had owned Ruthie’s Café and now Neufeldt’s Variety Store.  She was an avid bowler and loved to do puzzles.  

Survivors include her husband; her children; Rick (Lori) Neufeldt, Inman, Rod (Lee Brannon) Neufeldt, Newton, and Sonya (Paul) Harshberger, Hutchinson; a sister, Carol (Galen) Jantz, Inman; grandchildren, Tiffany (Brian) Vogts, Inman, Ashley (Nathan) Harold, McPherson, Lindsay (Justin) Shaff, Norfolk, VA, and Chelsea (Nick) Davis, Inman; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a great grandchild, Kiara Shaff; and a nephew, Roger Whitlock.

Per her wishes, cremation will take place.  Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church, Inman.  The service will be live streamed on the Inman Funeral Home Facebook page and can be accessed via www.inmanfh.com.  Memorial contributions may be made out to the Wichita Rescue Mission or St. Jude’s Research Hospital, both in care of Inman Funeral Home.  To leave a condolence for the family, visit: www.inmanfh.com.
