Wayne A. Pittman, Minster, 81, died October 14, 2021, at the University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia, MO. He was born February 19, 1940, in Ardmore, OK, the son of Shadrix A. and Mable E. Musgrave Pittman. He was a 1958 graduate of Ardmore High School. He had received his Bachelor of Theology from Midwest Christian College, Oklahoma City, OK. In 1963. He ministered in churches in Ardmore and Muskogee, OK before serving at Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson, for 42 years, most recently serving as the Senior’s Minister.
He married Viola Bernice Platt on August 23, 1963, in Ardmore, OK. She died August 10, 2005.
Survivors include his children; Greg (Andrea) Pittman, Tulsa, OK, Arista (Saul) Lagunez, McKinney, TX, Harold (Kelly) Pittman, Manhattan, KS, and Rachel Pittman, Hutchinson, KS; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Viola Bernice Pittman of 42 years; a grandson, Christopher Shane Uphoff; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Pittman and Peggy Lamer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 22, 2021, at Crossroads Christian Church; 4310 N. Monroe, Hutchinson, KS. Funeral services will be live streamed on the Inman Funeral Home Facebook Page. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. To honor Wayne’s lifelong passion for starting new churches, memorial contributions may be made to CEA Kansas (Christian Evangelizing Association,) in care of the funeral home.
